How Far Can I Go On One Charge? – elctrc

How Far Can I Go On One Charge?

This is a very difficult question to answer as it depends on many factors. For example weather conditions, rider weight, riding surface, terrain, riding style and of course the bike, components and assistance level can all affect the range that it gives you.

For Bikes with Crank Drive Motors

To help give you an idea, Bosch have created a Range Calculator to show you a prediction of the range you might get out of the bike in different conditions. This is of course a prediction of range for bikes with the Bosch crank drive motor but will be a similar figure for bikes with the Yamaha crank drive motor. To Use this click here and follow the steps below.

For an Off Road Bike

Change the Motor to Bosch Performance Line (2015), or Performance Line CX and Battery to 500wh (2016). Then change the Type of Bicycle to MTB and the Tire Tread as well.

You can then change the surface, terrain, rider weight, assistance level and speed etc to suit you.

For a City/Commuting

Change the Motor to Bosch Active Line. Then change the type of bicycle to City Bike and change the Tire Tread to either City or Hybrid.

You can then change the surface, terrain, rider weight, assistance level and speed etc to suit you.

For a Trekking Bike

Change the Motor to Bosch Performance Line (2015), or Performance Line CX and Battery to 500wh (2016). Then change the Type of Bicycle to Touring and the Tire Tread to Hybrid.

You can then change the surface, terrain, rider weight, assistance level and speed etc to suit you.

For Bikes with Hub Motors

Unfortunately there isn't a Range Calculator for Hub Motors. But our Hub powered Bikes vary from around 20-50 miles.
