Riese & Müller, the renowned German manufacturer of premium e-bikes and cargo bikes, has just been awarded the prestigious German Sustainability Award in the “Two Wheelers” category, Europe’s foremost recognition for environmental and social responsibility. This achievement highlights Riese & Müller’s dedication to sustainable transformation, an effort the company set into motion in 2019 with its Vision 2025 initiative.
Determined to become the e-bike industry’s most sustainable company, Riese & Müller has since achieved key milestones, including a continual reduction in emissions, transparent supply chain audits, zero-waste projects, and the use of ASI-certified recycled aluminium. Their commitment also extends to adopting a circular product design approach and achieving ISO 14001 environmental certification.
CEO Dr. Sandra Wolf celebrated the award, emphasizing it as a reward for their dedication to sustainability and a motivator to continue pushing the boundaries of environmental responsibility. The official award ceremony will take place in Düsseldorf on 28 November, further cementing Riese & Müller’s leadership in sustainable mobility.
