Up this week in the Spotlight Series; The Riese & Müller Nevo
The Nevo has been Riese & Müller's best-selling bike in the UK for the last couple of years and it’s easy to see why. It’s a step-through workhorse that’s set up for all kinds of riding. It comes equipped with the Bosch Cx Motor with 85 Nm of torque for those steep hills and can be specced with either 500 or 625wh Bosch batteries, as well as the option of dual battery, bringing the capacity up to a whopping 1125wh! Great for long distance riding.
This capable bike also comes with some fantastic comfort features such as a Cane Creek Thudbuster suspension seatpost, Ergon grips, Selle Royal Lookin gel saddle and Suntour suspension forks. Pick one of the GT options and you’ll also get a bigger volume 2.4” tyre to help with grip and soaking up the more rugged routes.
As always with Riese & Müller there’s several options to choose from when configuring this bike, this means you can really customise it to how you desire. You can choose from 3 colours, 4 gearing options and 3 displays among other accessory/spec options. So let’s dive a little bit into the different names and what gearing/drivetrain this equates to;
Touring – This version comes equipped with a chain and Shimano Deore derailleur/shifter.
Vario – This version comes with a carbon belt drive and Enviolo hub. This hub is stepless with continuous shifting. This results in a smooth and easy to operate shifting.
Automatic – This version also has a belt drive but is unique in that it hads no shifter at all, the gear shifting is completely automatic! You set the cadence you would like to ride at and the hub does the rest!
Rohloff – This version comes equipped with a belt drive and 14 speed internal electronic hub gear system. This creates a huge range of different gears for different riding environments and is extremely low maintenance.
